You might be going through a difficult or uncertain time in your life right now. Maybe you are navigating challenges in your career or relationships, a major transition, processing trauma, unsettling thoughts, or emotional overwhelm. Perhaps you’ve been trying to find your way through it on your own, and have reached a point where you’re seeking deeper understanding of what’s going on inside. Whatever has brought you here, you’re in the right place to begin your healing and restoration.
I take a whole-person approach that honors the full complexity of who you are. This encompasses all your experiences, relationships, inner world, and aspirations. Together, we will explore the sources of distress and the patterns that may be leaving you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. As a therapist, I approach your unique journey with warmth, empathy, and compassion, drawing from a wide range of therapeutic approaches to meet you where you are and support you moving forward toward the life you want to create.
I am currently accepting new clients and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to schedule a complimentary phone call to learn more about my approach and share what brings you to therapy.
Ping-Chung Wong
Post Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Ping-Chung Wong received his Bachelor of Science from Imperial College London, his Master of Arts from The Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, and Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Divine Mercy University in Virginia. He completed his predoctoral internship in Kaiser Permanente in San Jose.
Dr. Wong is a postdoctoral clinician with five years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy across a range of professional environments. His clinical work has included community mental health, university counseling, private practice, and hospital settings, where he has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. Before becoming a psychotherapist, he spent fifteen years working in business and finance across Europe and Asia. This earlier chapter of his career brings a distinctive breadth of perspective to his clinical work, allowing him to draw on both professional experience and psychological training in understanding the complexities of adult life. Dr. Wong enjoys seeing adults and couples virtually across the state of California.
Dr. Wong’s approach to therapy is warm, integrative, and deeply attuned to the individual, meeting each client where they are while holding sight of the person as a whole. He works collaboratively with clients to explore the many identities, experiences, and relationships that shape their lives, bringing greater clarity to the sources of distress and the patterns that may leave them feeling stuck. Therapy becomes an opportunity not simply to alleviate distress, but to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and move toward greater integration. Through this process of becoming more fully themselves, clients can cultivate a greater sense of wholeness, meaning, and fulfillment across the different dimensions of their lives. The theoretical orientations he draws on are psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). His clinical interests lie in trauma and PTSD, multiculturalism, and existential psychology.
