Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy provides a confidential setting to understand emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal patterns and work toward meaningful change. Helyx Health clinicians have different areas of focus and may work with concerns such as:

  • Anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout
  • Trauma and difficult life experiences
  • Relationships, communication, intimacy, and life transitions
  • Attention, organization, and coping difficulties
  • Sleep-related behaviors and distress
  • Chronic health concerns and changes in functioning

Treatment methods and patient age ranges vary by clinician. Review individual biographies for specialties and populations served.

Psychiatry and medication management

Psychiatric services may include an initial evaluation, diagnostic clarification, medication consultation, and follow-up medication management. A psychiatric clinician considers symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current medications, sleep, substance use, previous treatment responses, and personal preferences before discussing options.

Medication is not automatically recommended, and a particular prescription is never guaranteed. The clinician will explain potential benefits, limitations, alternatives, and monitoring needs when medication is considered.

Behavioral sleep medicine

Behavioral sleep care focuses on the habits, thoughts, schedules, and physiological patterns that can interfere with sleep. Depending on the concern and clinician, care may address insomnia, circadian rhythm difficulties, sleep-related anxiety, or adjustment to a sleep condition.

Helyx Health also provides medical sleep evaluation for appropriate cases. Sleep-related cases requiring Dr. Tony Masri’s involvement should be screened for clinical fit.

Home sleep apnea testing

A home sleep apnea test may be recommended when symptoms and medical history raise concern for obstructive sleep apnea. The test collects sleep-related data outside a laboratory and must be interpreted in the context of a clinical evaluation.

A home sleep test is designed to assess possible sleep apnea. It does not independently diagnose insomnia, narcolepsy, parasomnias, circadian rhythm conditions, or every other sleep disorder.

Neuropsychological and psychological evaluation

Assessment services can help clarify cognitive, emotional, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental questions. Depending on the referral, an evaluation may examine attention, memory, learning, language, processing speed, executive functioning, emotional functioning, and other relevant areas.

Testing is not one-size-fits-all. The evaluator determines the appropriate process after reviewing the referral question, age, history, and intended use of the results.

How do I choose the right service?

You do not need to determine the exact diagnosis or treatment before contacting Helyx Health. Tell the scheduling team what is happening, what kind of help you are seeking, where you will be located for care, and whether you plan to use insurance or self-pay. The team can then assess likely clinical fit and identify an appropriate next step.

Availability, insurance participation, appointment format, and age ranges vary by clinician and service.

Emergency notice: Helyx Health is an outpatient practice and does not provide emergency, inpatient, detoxification, or acute stabilization services. Call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency department if immediate help is needed.
