Dr. Mandy Mount (she/they) is a licensed counseling psychologist with expertise in working with interpersonal trauma and sexual violence, PTSD, grief and loss, gender identity, sexuality, and life transitions. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally-aware, creating a secure space for exploration within an affirming and trauma-informed framework. Dr. Mount’s integrative approach draws from neurobiology, attachment theory, holistic medicine, EMDR, mindfulness, ACT, DBT as well as interpersonal, psychodynamic and emotion-focused theories. She prioritizes working together to set individualized goals, exploring how identity, personal strengths, experiences and obstacles may influence responses to life events and experiences.

Dr. Mount received her doctorate at the University of Maryland after completing an APA-accredited internship at the University of California, Irvine. In 2005, Dr. Mount established a multidisciplinary center at the University of California, Irvine, dedicated to preventing interpersonal violence and creating opportunities for survivors to access care and advocacy. Over 17 years as Director, she also maintained a private practice, served as an expert consultant and trainer, and spoke at conferences nationwide.

Today, Dr. Mount continues her work serving as a consultant, expert witness and trainer for campuses, health professionals, and organizations. She offers psychotherapy to individuals and couples in the states of California and Florida.
